Dr. Camilo R. Van Strahlen in an English speaking ENT specialist and rhinoplasty surgeon. His main focus is the specialty of rhinology and surgery.
He has extensive clinical experience in general ENT and is focused in rhinology, specially in rhinoplasties for nasal patency surgery, nasal polyps treat and surgery, and septal deformity or perforation. He also specialises in nasal pyramid, lacrimal pathway and infectious pathology of the paranasal sinuses as sinusitis.
Education
Dr. Camilo R. Van Strahlen graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá in 2014 and conducted his MIR in otorhinolaryngology. He is currently working in his doctorate degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, and works in research in Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery. He has undergone multiple training courses on rhinology and skull base, general otorhinolaryngology and other transversal training courses.
Currently he is a rhinology specialist in Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and in Clínica Sagrada Familia, although he has had previous experience as an ENT specialist in other centres like Hospital Universitario Central de Asturias (Oviedo) and Hospital Universitario San Ignacio (Bogotá).
Since 2016, he has gained extensive teaching experience, participating in clinical sessions, lecturing at courses and congresses, and training medical residents. He is currently clinic teacher for residents and medicine students in Hospital Clinic de Barcelona.
