Dr. Xabier López is an endocrinologist specialising in treating endocrine disorders and diabetes, as well as performing thyroid ultrasounds.
He has extensive clinical experience in various centers all over the world, including hospitals and clinics in Spain, Ireland and Chile.
As endocrinologist he specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions related to the endocrine system, which consists of glands that produce hormones. Hormones regulate many essential bodily functions, such as metabolism, growth, reproduction, and mood. He often works closely with primary care physicians and other specialists to provide comprehensive care tailored to the patient's needs.
Education
Dr. Xabier López graduated in Medicine from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) and completed his endocrinology specialist training in the Hospital Insular of Las Palmas de Gran Canarias. He also completed a course in Expertise in Sports Nutrition from the International University of La Rioja (UNIR).
He is currently an endocrinology consultant at Sanitas (Remote consultations) where he provides remote clinics.
Dr. López has actively participated in the training of medicine students for the MIR and EUNACOM in both Spain and Chile. He has carried out research for several internationally published papers and presented them at congresses and conferences, such as the 16th European Congress of Endocrinology in Wrocław, Poland or the 57th Congress of the Spanish Society of Endocrinology and Nutrition in Madrid.
