Dr. Alexy Inciarte is a specialist in internal medicine and infectious diseases with over a decade of experience. 

As an expert in infectious diseases, he treats a wide range of conditions like sexually transmitted diseases, lyme disease, HIV and urinary infections among others. Part of his work also involves microbiology interpretation, infection control and vaccine planning at hospitals.

Education

Dr. Inciarte graduated from the University of Zulia in Venezuela in 2006 and became a board certified doctor in Internal Medicine in Hospital Clinic of Barcelona shortly after. He has 4 masters degrees in advanced medical specialties and autoimmune diseases (2015), in HIV, statistic and research (2016), in infectious diseases, tropical medicine and HIV (2022) and in advanced microbiology (2023). 

He also holds a Ph.D. in HIV prevention from the University of Barcelona, where he conducted clinical trials on microbicides. His training in internal medicine and various medical specialties spans more than a decade, backed by international healthcare certification and ongoing continuing medical education in infectious diseases, vaccines, and clinical research.

Dr. Alexy has been a lead scientist and research associate since 2015 at IDIBAPS, where he has designed 50 clinical trials across phases II, III, and IV, on infectious diseases and vaccines.
