Biography
Dr. Giulio Maria Fiore is a neurology specialist based in Barcelona, with extensive experience in general neurology and a clinical focus on neurovascular diseases, epilepsy, and headaches.
Clinical Specialisation
His primary fields of interest include vascular neurology, stroke prevention, and neurosonology. He is an expert in managing complex neurovascular cases, evaluating vascular risk, and providing post-stroke follow-up. Additionally, he leads non-invasive diagnostic techniques such as Transcranial Doppler and Color Doppler of the supra-aortic trunks.
Education and Training
Dr. Giulio Maria Fiore graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Università degli Studi di Siena and completed his residency in Neurology at the Università degli Studi di Firenze, graduating with the highest honors (70/70 cum Laude). He completed a Master’s in Echocardiography and Cardio Imaging at the University of Siena and holds national neurosonology certification from the Italian Society of Neurosonology (SINSEC).
He completed a clinical fellowship at the Stroke Unit of Vall d'Hebron Hospital, where he currently works actively, collaborating on clinical trials with the Vall d'Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR). He is a member of the European Stroke Organisation (ESO) and the Società Italiana di Neurologia (SIN), and has published in prestigious journals such as the European Stroke Journal and Scientific Reports on wearables and biomarkers for brain health.
