Dr. Ferran Molins is a specialist in psychiatry in Barcelona. His practice is characterised by an empathic and personalised approach, always seeking the best intervention strategies for each case, with a special emphasis on multidisciplinary work, guaranteeing comprehensive and continuous patient care.
Dr. Molins specialises in the comprehensive treatment of severe, moderate and mild mental disorders. His approach ranges from psychiatric evaluation to the implementation of advanced psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatments.
He has solid experience in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with severe mental disorders, employing psychopharmacological techniques together with psychoeducational and group therapies based on models such as Moritz and Roder&Brenner. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders such as attention deficit disorder and autism spectrum disorders.
Education
Dr. Ferran Molins graduated in medicine at the University of Barcelona and later completed his psychiatry residency at Parc de Salut Mar. During his residency he did rotations with internationally renowned psychiatrists of phenomenological-dynamic orientation, such as Giovanni Stanghellini in Italy. He has also participated in numerous courses organised by the Centre for Subjectivity Research in Copenhagen.
He has completed an extensive training that includes a Master in Severe Mental Disorder by the IL3, Universitat de Barcelona, an Official Master in Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology oriented to research by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and an Official Master in Contemporary Philosophy by the Universitat de Barcelona.
He is currently involved in the multidisciplinary project "The clinic of subjectivity: History, theory and practice of structural psychopathology", focusing on the origins and current applications of structural and phenomenological psychopathology, organised by the Institut d'Història de la Medicina i de la Ciència López Piñero, Universitat de València.
Dr. Ferran Molins is a psychiatrist with extensive experience and training, honest and committed to improving the mental health of his patients through a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach, based on a special respect for the individual values of his patients.
Universities and Medical Societies
Dr. Ferran Molins is a member of the Catalan Association of Mental Health Professionals and is Founder and member of the study group Philosophy and Psychiatry of the Catalan Society of Philosophy. He is also a former member of the board of directors of the Catalan Association of Mental Health Professionals. He is currently a member of the international commission of the Spanish Association of Neuropsychiatry and its representative in the World Psychiatric Association. These societies promote the development and dissemination of knowledge and research in the field of psychiatry.
