Dr. Roberto Lastra is a specialist in Neurosurgery and has 20 years of experience in his field, having worked in leading hospitals and clinics, including Hospital Universitario Vall d'Hebrón and Hospital Universitario Mútua Terrassa and Hospital Universitario Parc Taulí. He is currently part of the medical team at Neuro Clínica Quirúrgica Barcelona at Centro Médico Teknon and Clínica Sagrada Familia. His career has made him an expert in the treatment of neurological conditions.

As a neurosurgeon he specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and surgical management of disorders affecting the central and peripheral nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves.

Education

Graduated in Medicine with extraordinary award of the degree at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Subsequently, he completed his specialization in Neurosurgery as a Medical Intern Resident (MIR) at the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona. In addition, he has obtained the Research Sufficiency at the School of Doctorate and Continuing Education of the UAB.

He has also participated as a speaker in different courses and congresses of his specialty and has collaborated in several scientific papers published in national and international journals, such as Revista española de neurología, Journal of neurosurgery, and Neurosurgery.

Universities and Medical societies

He is a member of the Spanish Society of Skull Base and the Spanish Society of Neurosurgery and of the Neuro-oncology Working Group of said society, which demonstrates his commitment to professional growth and excellence in medical practice.
